Family records on your device
You may enter a child’s nickname, birth date, optional due date, avatar choice, observations, dates, notes, custom milestones, favorites and app preferences. Little Firsts stores these records in its local app storage. We do not receive them through the app. There is no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or automatic cloud-sync service.
Backups and sharing you choose
When you export a backup or share a summary, your device offers destinations. A backup is a readable JSON file containing child details and notes; it is not encrypted by Little Firsts. A text summary contains the observations and optional notes you select. Your chosen app or storage provider handles that copy under its own practices. Little Firsts keeps a local recovery copy before replacing records during a restore.
Device backups and loss
Little Firsts configures its private record storage to be excluded from automatic operating-system backup and transfer. Operating-system behavior and destinations you choose can affect where copies exist. Keep an exported backup somewhere you trust. Losing a device or uninstalling the app can lose records; we cannot recover them for you.
Optional reminders
Weekly reminders use local device notifications, are off by default and require your permission. Their generic text contains no child name or milestone. The app does not register for remote push notifications. Change reminders in Settings or through your device’s notification controls.
Deletion and retention
Settings lets you delete one child or erase all family data and the private recovery copy. Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app. Exported files and copies in other apps remain until you delete those copies yourself. There are no server-side family records or accounts to delete.
External links and support
Source links open external websites only when you tap them. Those sites receive ordinary connection information and use their own privacy policies. If you email us, we receive the address and message you send and use them to respond; please avoid sending child records unless needed. This public website is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure may process standard request information. Website visits are separate from the app’s on-device records.
Parents and caregivers
The app is intended for adult parents and caregivers, not children using an online service. Use nicknames and avoid including sensitive details you do not need.
Updates
We will update this page if these practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy.
